Clothing Care Guide
Preserve Beauty and Quality
General tips
-
Remember that white and colored garments should be washed separately.
-
If there are stains on your clothes, it is better to soak them in warm water with a special detergent before washing. Do not leave clothes in the water for too long to prevent the fabric from losing its brightness.
-
If you add fabric softener to the washing machine, your clothes will retain their softness and original appearance for longer.
-
Do not leave wet clothes in the washing machine for too long.
-
Before washing or ironing your clothes, check the label and follow the recommendations. Check whether the item can be washed in the machine or by hand. Also, look for the recommended washing temperature on the label.
Cotton
-
Washing: Cotton can be machine washed at temperatures up to 60°C, but we recommend washing colored items at 30-40°C. Use an all-purpose detergent and avoid overloading the washing machine. The optimal spin speed is up to 800 rpm.
-
Ironing: Iron cotton garments in a medium-temperature setting. To preserve color, it is better to iron from the inside out.
-
Storage: Cotton clothes can be stored either folded or on hangers. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Linen
-
Washing: Linen is more delicate than cotton, so washing clothes made of this material at low temperatures (up to 40°C) using a mild detergent is better. We recommend washing by hand or on a delicate cycle. Avoid using bleach, tumble drying, or spinning the linen clothes at high speeds, as this can damage the fabric. Please note that linen tends to shrink when washed at higher temperatures than recommended. Even if you follow all the recommendations, the fabric can lose 3-5% of its volume. This is a property of the material that should be taken into account.
-
Ironing: Linen garments are best ironed at a high temperature while still slightly damp. A steam iron is recommended.
-
Storage: Linen clothes should be stored in a cool, dry place. Hang clothes on wooden or soft hangers to avoid wrinkles.
Viscose
-
Washing: Viscose items can be hand or machine-washed on a gentle cycle at temperatures up to 30°C. Use a mild detergent and avoid spinning.
-
Ironing: Iron viscose in a low-temperature setting, from the inside out, to avoid damaging the fabric.
-
Storage: Store viscose garments on soft hangers, otherwise they may deform. Avoid tight folding, which can cause creasing.
Synthetic fabrics
-
Washing: Synthetic fabrics such as polyester and nylon can be washed at temperatures up to 40°C, preferably by hand. For machine washing, use mild detergents and a delicate cycle. The spin cycle should not exceed 600 rpm.
-
Ironing: Most synthetic fabrics do not need to be ironed. If necessary, iron on a low-temperature setting from the inside out with a steam iron.
-
Storage: Store synthetic garments folded or on hangers. Avoid exposure to high temperatures and direct sunlight.
Knitwear
-
Washing: We recommend hand or machine washing knitwear on a gentle cycle at temperatures up to 30°C. Use a mild detergent and avoid spinning. For very delicate, knitted, or openwork garments, hand wash only.
-
Ironing: Iron knitwear on a medium setting with a steam iron. It is better to iron from the inside out.
-
Storage: Store knitwear folded on shelves to avoid deformation. Use soft fabric organizers to prevent creasing.
Denim clothing
-
Washing: Jeans and other denim items should be washed inside out at temperatures up to 40°C. Use detergent for colored fabrics and avoid overloading the washing machine. It is better to spin denim at 600 rpm, and 800 rpm for denser garments.
-
Ironing: Iron denim on a medium setting, from the inside out, to avoid shine on the fabric.
-
Storage: Store denim on hangers or folded. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading.
By following these simple tips, caring for your clothes can become an enjoyable ritual and extend the life of your favorite pieces.
